Stefania Dei Rossi's jewellery collection was born from the desire to draw the artwork out of its frame and into everyday life, turning it into something to be worn.
Each piece holds, protected beneath a glass cabochon, the reproduction of an original drawing by the artist or a graphic reworking of antique prints, enhanced by pure gold leaf applied by hand in keeping with the Venetian tradition.
Settings in brass, bronze or gold hold natural pearls, antique glass pearls and coral, each chosen to suit its subject. Earrings, pendants and brooches are crafted entirely within the atelier in Venice, in small series or as one-of-a-kind pieces: the very opposite of industrial jewellery, reproduced in thousands of identical examples with no story to tell.
Those who wear them carry with them a tangible memory of Venice, its palaces, its ornament, its light, all held within an object that resembles no other.
