When we returned home we decided to order some of her placemats. Because of their being glass and expensive, we were worried about shipping. Also because we do not speak Italian. We were so wrong! Upon entering the shop, it becomes clear that what you are seeing is intrinsically Venetian, with details exuding clarity, mystery, wonder, and originality. I purchased a framed work and commissioned another, a very particular one. One of the best things I have done for a while and a suitable summation to my month's visit to Venice. From the moment I ordered and paid for the works until I received them in the UK, I was kept informed about the progress and provided with photographs. Nothing was damaged; the packaging of both items was both practical and artisanal, with every detail carefully considered- a sort of packaged perfection.
