The typeface used for the initials is the same as that found on the Venetian “nizioleti,” the traditional street signs of Venice. “Nizioleti” are wall paintings that indicate the names of streets, squares, and bridges in the city.
The choice to use this typeface not only bestows the paperweights with aesthetic and cultural value but also pays homage to the ancient Venetian tradition connected to the art of gilding.
This artifact embodies a dual uniqueness: the invaluable nature of the artisanal gilding process and the irreplaceable familiarity of the most cherished sound, that of our own name.

In the "Otto per Otto del Battiloro" collection, gold leaf produced by Mario Berta Battiloro, the last master craftsman in Europe, is used. He worked with traditional methods until 2024, and every paperweight is a unique piece, the result of meticulous and highly specialized craftsmanship.
