"Worth a Horn"

The Rhinoceros is the second largest mammal inhabiting the earth.

Appearing 40 million years ago, it also lived in certain areas of Europe, but today, of the original thirty species, only five remain scattered across Asia and Africa.

This animal, with its imposing physique, can have a peaceful nature (as in the case of the White Rhinoceros), or it can be considered the most aggressive animal in Africa (as in the case of its Black counterpart).

Much loved by Dalí, who depicted it in several of his works, this creature has very thick and rough skin and very poor vision – in fact, its primary guide is its sense of smell.

In case of danger, it prefers to charge the opponent head-on with its horn rather than flee.

And it is precisely its feared horn that is the main characteristic of this wonderful animal; a peculiarity that, unfortunately, has also led to its downfall, as it has become an element with "magical powers" for humans.

Indeed, popular Chinese and Vietnamese beliefs attribute the most astonishing curative effects to the Rhinoceros horn for various diseases and sexual dysfunctions.

So it matters little if the poaching of rhinoceroses is leading to the extinction of this extraordinary creature… The important thing is that we can always count on impeccable sexual performance (even though we might as well eat our own nails)!

Care and Maintenance

Stefania Dei Rossi’s Golden Prints are created through the manual application of imitation gold leaf on paper. To ensure optimal preservation, it is advisable to follow a few care and maintenance precautions.

  • It is important to avoid direct contact with the gilded surface.
  • We recommend framing the print and protecting it under glass, avoiding exposure to heat sources, direct sunlight, and temperature fluctuations.
  • If framed, we suggest using anti-glare glass with UV protection to preserve the brilliance and color vibrancy.
  • It is preferable that the environment where the print is displayed maintains consistent temperature and humidity levels to protect its integrity over time.
  • For cleaning, it is recommended to avoid using damp cloths, detergents, solvents, or any substances that could compromise the integrity of the gold leaf or the paper substrate.

With the "Try to Hang It" guarantee, you can purchase a Golden Print and, within 15 days of delivery, decide whether to keep it or return it at no extra cost. This allows you to see how the artwork complements your space.

It was a great pleasure to visit and purchase a piece in this new atelier. The space is large and airy and showcases each object well. The artworks and furnishings offered are an interesting mix of classic decoration and contemporary subjects and forms, with great taste and truly spectacular, suitable for any context. This is the Venice that those who come to Venice seek!

Dear Stefania, I wanted to congratulate you because in both cases I had great satisfaction with the gifts given! Both the two prints before and the jaguar after were very welcome gifts (including the very refined packaging). Congratulations again, and thank you!

Dear Stefania Dei Rossi, I don't usually shop online, but I wanted to tell you that your artworks really surprised and reconciled me with this way of buying! In particular, I was satisfied with the sought-after packaging, and I've found your handwritten message priceless since it managed to create a connection that, for a moment, becomes real beyond the virtual. I am attaching to this email a picture to give credit to your work. Thank you again!

I found very interesting the idea to place different animals on pedestals, even those considered more humble, such as those in a hen-house. The gold of the background reinforces the preciousness offered to the animals. It gave to the wall of my home a precious, refined, but also amusingly light-hearted effect. A great effect!
