Given the theme of this article, I couldn’t resist choosing the drawing of David’s eye as the cover image…
But let’s get to it!
I’ve just returned from the summer break and there are many projects on the horizon. Today, I’d finally like to tell you about the first two.
The Florence Event - Artigianato e Palazzo
First up is Artigianato e Palazzo, an event I care deeply about, set in the wonderful setting of the Giardino Corsini in Florence.
The exhibition brings together a carefully curated selection of artisans who, in addition to presenting their works, will also demonstrate some of the techniques they use to create them.
This edition will take place from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September, open to the public 10:00 - 19:30.
To give you a fuller picture, here are a few excerpts from the exhibition website:
“Artigianato e Palazzo was founded in Florence in 1995 from an idea by Neri Torrigiani, promoted by Giorgiana Corsini, with the aim of preserving and promoting high craftsmanship, the value of handmade work, and attention to detail.”
“Each year the exhibition gathers and presents a selection of artisans. The upcoming 31st edition will feature a new selection of 100 of the finest artisan tradition.”
“While rooted in the oldest artisan traditions, Artigianato e Palazzo seeks to highlight the contemporaneity of craftsmanship - enhancing its figure, work, and role within the cultural and commercial context as a high expression of quality and technique.”
Alongside artisans like me, the exhibition also hosts each year the “Mostra Principe”- a true “show within the show”- which spectacularly illustrates the creative journey of a brand that has made its artisan DNA the key to its success, serving as a beacon and inspiration for others.
This year’s brand at the “Mostra Principe” is none other than Bulgari.
Beyond the refined selection of artisans you can watch at work and discover, another reason to visit is the evocative, marvelous setting of Giardino Corsini: a breathtaking garden right in the center of Florence, close to the Lungarno and just a 10-minute walk from the station.
Recently, Florence has been a major source of inspiration. For the occasion, I’ve created a small capsule dedicated to this unique city to which I feel especially connected.
Exhibiting my work in Florence fills my heart with joy as it’s a bit like “coming home,” since part of my family is Florentine.
Alongside subjects designed specifically for the event, which contain anecdotes tied to the city, I’ll also present - for the first time - two new product types I’ve been developing, increasingly “invading” the realm of the home.
I truly hope you’ll have a chance to visit me in such a bucolic, one-of-a-kind context.

Now that we’ve talked about Florence - and so as not to neglect my first and undisputed muse, Venice - let’s move to the second event.
The Venice Event - Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano
This October, I’ll once again take part in the Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano, set in another stunning venue: the Arsenale of Venice.
The exhibition will run from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 October, 10:00 - 19:00.
